Two Breaths Of Air Pt 2

The old man lingered along the wharf, the surfers were out surfing and the joggers were out jogging. You would think in this hot weather they wouldn't even contemplate about putting to much effort of losing there breath. The hot air was so thin to take deeps breaths in.
Jimmy Love, walked the wooden wharf with a bottle of Jack Daniels in his brown bag wondering about what he should do with his life. He never really had friends, just family, even now, he is alone. Though other homeless people like to talk to him but he usually ignores them.
The sun was almost going down and Jimmy was hoping for some wind to blow so he didn't have to feel like a fish out of water in this weather. As Jimmy made his way to his box bed to get some shut eye, he stumbled upon another box with a note beside it. He took several steps hesitantly, not knowing if he should bother with this package that lays almost beside his bed...he had nothing to lose anyways. His dirty fragile hands picked up the note as it was written on a cut out of back of a cereal box with a Sharpe
"Who ever gets this box, I want you to cherish it, please don't leave it in the ally, or trade it to anyone else. You will find out whats in this box but once you do, you will probably hate me (the person who is writing this) and figure someone else will find this box and you wont need to worry about it but you stumbled upon it because its fate and your meant to. I am a bad person for leaving something so precious out in the open of LA but i know anyone else could give this box a better home then me. Signed Betty"
Jimmy dropped the letter and wondered if maybe opening this box was fate or not at all. He went down on one knee slowly as his fragile body could handle. His dirty fingers touched the brown cardboard box and opened it very slowly, not knowing what would come out. He ended up opening up the box, where he was met with another pare of eyes, as a new born lay in the box, smiling at him ever so gently. The sun was now bright as it was going down shinning on the box and one the infant that was laying in the box. Maybe this was fate, or maybe this was the new Jesus, either way this young child brought a smile to Jimmy's face for the first time in 20 years
