“Look down at me and you see a fool;
look up at me and you see a god;
look straight at me and you see yourself”
I went to the nearest library 10 months ago, in search for a great book and i was skimming threw all theses criminals and celebrity bios, until i came upon an interest of mine, despite him being born on the same day as mine, i was interested in this guy; This guy being Charles Manson. This book was "supposable" all written and in his own words, so i cracked open this 1980's book and i begin to read. After finishing this book, (not really but i had a chapter left, i had to take it back) i was so interested in this man, so i started watching videos on him.
Many people may say he is a dangerous man, but hes equivalent to a mob boss except, he never told his "friends" (followers) to kill, they killed on there own, so technically, he had nothing to do with the murders. Chances are, you think hes crazy but chances are, thats what he wants you to think.
As i was reading the book, his words were drawing me in, making me one of the "followers" in his own way, he spoke about his child hood and how he could only live in jail and he never new what living in a normal life felt like. He had no parents cause they ended up ditching him when he was young, so he would attend multiple all boy schools where he would get raped. Thats not a life to be living so of course he wouldn't have a good life.
In the videos i watched on him, he continually to mention how he was never a part of the Sharon Tate killings, and i guess the court had no one else to blame, considering all his "friends" (Followers) were are all Executed. So all the more to put it on a hopeless 73 year old.
I was watching an interview, where they were asking him continually about the killings and he kept saying "i would never do anything to someone, i wouldn't want done to me" and the more he said that, the more i wanted to believe him but you would hear on the news, how 'bad' or 'crazy' he is, and the news feeds it to you, so you have to believe it.
He would mention, it was hard surviving in the 60s especially not knowing how to survive out of jail and thats how the 'Mason Family' came about. He would pick up girls and use them as prostitutes, to survive. He would even go as far as to renting a school bus and traveling. In the end boys wanted to join and Mason being the welcoming kind, he would accept them and there they would ride to different locations. One location in particular 'changed them all' stated Mason, "If i could back in time and rewind history, i would have never went to that house and i would have never invited any random guy on my buss" as said in the mason book.
As many time as Manson would like to deny being apart of the killings that he was never even there for, he should just accept it and thats cause America has no one else to point there finger at. Theres only Manson and there will only be Manson, 11 paroles later.
“Believe me, if I started murdering people… there'd be none of you left!”
