"Lose an hour in the morning, and you will spend all day looking for it."
- Richard Whately
He laid on the cement floor shivering, in what looked like a small brick cell but he had no clue where he was, or even what state of mind he was in, he was clueless to the world around him. He hadn't seen sunlight for 2 days (48 hours), you could say he was going insane, but the only thing that kept him sane was the thought of his wife, the thought of finding her. Then he saw light.
3 Days (96 hours) Earlier.
Frank awoke from a deep sleep, even though he didn't sleep well the night before, so he probably got 3.5 hours of sleep, not counting the lame tossing and turning.
Frank is only 25, and no job.
His wife Jodi is 22 and calling his name, "frank wake up, we have a lot of stuff to do today"
"yeah" he moaned but didn't bother moving.
His wife Jodi is 4 months pregnant, which is why they got married last summer.
Frank staggered out of bed, dried eyed and feeling dead to the world only to realize Jodi stopped calling his name.
"Jodi where exactly are we going today?" he yelled down from his room.
No response.
He repeated.
"Jodi, where and what do you have in mind"? He yelled again.
No response.
He walked down to the kitchen only to find his dog crying for food.
"JODI!!" He started shouting for her.
No response.
He quickly made his way to every room.
No one was found.
Scared she might have fell down the stairs of the basement, he quickly headed towards there. Step by step, he heard no one, saw no one, except a small piece of paper, more like a cue card.
He read it:
"Hello Frank, you don't know me, but I know you. You’re probably wondering why you found this note and where your wife is? You see, the reason you found a note here is because i knew this is the last place you would look for her, so it gives me more time to get away with your 'lovely' wife. Don't worry, I wont harm her.... yet. If you love your pregnant wife, you wont call the police, you will listen to me, you will do as I say, and in 24 hours, you may have her back. I guess we will see"
Frank just stood there motionless.
'Who was this guy? What did he want? And how far will he take this' Frank thought on.
Questions, Questions, Questions.
